Stress, Anxiety, tips to cope and how bars helped me.

Whether you are employed, an employer or self employed you will be familiar with stress and anxiety.

In the year 2016/17 over 12.5 million working days were lost to stress, anxiety and depression in Great Britain according to the HSE. That is 49% of all working days lost to ill health in that period.

It is not just working life that suffers every element of your life is affected. I found making very simple decisions like what clothes to wear that day and what food to cook for tea really stressful and difficult.

Below I have listed ten top tips to help with stress, some of these did help with my stress levels.

Avoid caffeine, alcohol and nicotine

Indulge in physical activity, even just a gentle walk will help

Get more sleep

Try relaxation techniques, meditation and breathing techniques really helped me

Talk to someone

Keep a stress diary, really does help writing things down

Take control

Manage your time

Play music

Watch a good film or read a book

If stress and anxiety play a regular part in your life you may need more than the above and for me having my regular bars sessions keeps stress at bay, bars helps with your thought processes and is just one of the many benefits I receive from my bars treatments.
